CLASS 1 - BEST CONDITION

horse show online

Judge's comments: "There were some lovely, well presented horses of a healthy weight, looking fit and ready to do a job. It is really important to read the whole class description, which required the horses age, breeding and a side on photo to assess condition. Lots of entries didn't do this, and so lost out on placings. There were also 2 entries which didn't provide full body shots, so couldn't be judged. Well done to those who placed, and for those who missed out, I would encourage you to try again next month, because you have lovely animals who would be very capable of placing well another time."

1. Hayley Ashton & Maesymor Oliver - "beautifully turned out and well presented - good job." (19yo Welsh Cob)

2. Lottie Daly & Alfie

3. Lindsey Walczak & Boo Radley

4. Liberty McFeely & Allusion Stroke of Luck

5. Sarah Michelle & Skogheims Rover

6. Summer Richmond & Moonshine Myrtle

7. Jake Baker & Yarrandale Ruffy

8. Kia Whitehead & Sadie

9. Peggy Decker & Cinnabar's Painted Puzzle

10. Charlotte White & Mali

CLASS 2 - DRESSAGE SHOTS

horse show online

Judge's comments: "I loved seeing all your dressage divas! If the class asks you to state the age and breed, please do so. It helps with assessing the horse in relation to their life stage. I also encourage you all to focus on harmony: that is the first point of assessment. A horse ridden clearly behind the vertical, is not done. Also, try to have your horse correctly over the back and depending on your level in horizontal or upwards “aufrichtung”. Nevertheless, well done to all!"

1. Monica Kinnunen & Rhodonia - "The clear winner for me in this class. You make a very harmonious image together. Keep on working on the collection, this will only improve your image."

2. Cecilia Foster & Fionn - "You also make a harmonious picture together. Fionn has the correct engagement and has a very nice frame. Your entry would also benefit from some other frames of pictures - for example in the right middle picture, it would be beneficial to see the right front leg on the ground instead of the left front leg. (if you need more explanation, feel free to ask)."

3. Robyn Shepherd & Celton Sandstorm - "You two are very lovely together! You have a very nice posture, but you could try to sit back a little bit more. Also try to keep your pony a bit more forward and open in the frame with your leg. Very well done!"

4. Pia Lake & Bowland Endeavour - "Lovely picture! Try to keep your elbows closer to your body and also try to sit a little more backwards. Also work on keeping a more horizontal balance in your horse."

5. Lisa Cawthorne & Buzz Light Year - "Lovely and harmonious image. Work on keeping your horse more over the back and keeping a straight line in your under arms and hands, it looks like you have your hands turned inwards."

6. Alexa Kavanagh & Ramba Zamba - "Lovely pictures, try to work on keeping your pony more over the back and keeping a steady contact with your reins."

7. Bree Lawton & Pete - "Lovely harmonious picture, try to include a versatility of pictures to showcase your ability more. Also work on keeping your horse more over the back."

8. Hayley Ashton & Maesymor Oliver - "Lovely pony with lovely movements! Please keep your pony in an opener frame, he is currently too short in the neck."

9. Vianna Whittle & J Jays Nebraska - "Lovely combination! Try to keep a steady and equal contact on both reins and work on having your horse more over the back in the future, great that he is ridden in an open frame in his younger years."

10. Laura Davidson & Tod - "Lovely combination, you really seem to have fun together. He needs to be more over the back in general. Also try to include his age, so I can assess him in relation to his age more. "

Well done. Prize to 1st.

CLASS 3 - ARENA STARS

horse show online

Judge's comments: "This was a great class to judge, and I especially appreciated the variety of disciplines displayed in the arena. Just a friendly reminder, collages go a long way to showcasing the many aspects of your horses, so if the class allows them, take advantage of it!"

1. Lottie Daly & Alfie - "This collage is well composed and showcases many aspects of riding and horsemanship in an arena, well done."

2. Billy Jo Howe & Pumpkin - "an excellent composition of Pumpkin’s versatility in the arena"

3. Charissa Schipper & Big Paychex to Cash - "some unique and well captured arena moments"

4. Kia Whitehead & Sadie - "a good selection of images, a bit more balance in the size of ridden vs non ridden images, could improve your placing"

5. Georgie Rooney & Marco - "a good selection of arena disciplines and variety."

6. Elina Dzene with Mia & Penny - "a good variety of arena images, and a well composed collage"

7. Charlotte White & Mali - "a very happy pair out in the arena."

8. Gail Sealey & It’s Fairly Nuf - "these few images look good, it would be nice to add some more to the collage."

9. Laura Davidson & Tod - "a good variety of images and disciplines. "

10. Summer Richmond & Moonshine Myrtle - "lovely images and composition, but it would be nice to see a bit more variety. "
